Begun in 2002, Peregrinations: Journal of Medieval Art and Architecture, ISSN 1554-8678 (online), is published periodically. Topics of research include: medieval art and architectural history, as well as medieval history and religion that pertain to medieval visual culture. It is open-access, peer-reviewed, and encourages more illustrations than a typical print journal. It also publishes photographs for non-profit teaching and research, as well as audio and video clips and 3-D models.
Currently indexed in EBSCO, Directory of Open Access Journals, Project Muse, etc. It is published under Creative Commons License Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA). Authors will retain copyright to their own articles, but asks that the journal be credited as the original publication. There are no subscription costs. Peregrinations: Journal of Medieval Art and Architecture charges neither article processing nor submission fees.
